Williamsburg, Brooklyn is currently known for being a hipster haven, but Heritage Equity Partners is hoping that their proposed office building will turn it into a tech mecca. Planned for a site that spans the entire block between North 12th and North 13th streets on Kent Avenue, the ziggurat-like Williamsburg Generator will be a massive 400,000-square-foot glass “transformative technology and maker hub” geared towards fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in the neighborhood.
