Every night this January from 11:57pm to midnight, Laleh Khorrmian’s mystical film Water Panics in the Sea will take over the mega-screens of Times Square as part of Times Square Arts’ “Midnight Moment”. The digital short tells a tale of water and ocean sustainability issues through a narrative following a ghost ship across the sea. Midnight Moment is an on-going series made possible by a partnership between the Times Square Advertising Coalition and The United Nations Development Programme, which allows creative content to temporarily replace ads on Times Square screens for a few minutes each night to garner awareness for important issues.
