The temporary park space that Two Trees Management announced back in March for a vacant lot near their Domino Sugar Refinery housing complex site opened to the public today. The previously empty land was transformed into Havemeyer Park and Brooklyn Bike Park, two interim community spaces featuring fun attractions like a dirt bike course, an urban farm and an outdoor reading room. The 55,000-square-foot lot on Kent Avenue between South 3rd and South 4th Streets in Williamsburg, Brooklyn is now mostly complete but will continue to add more vendors and activities throughout the year.
