Tesla is attempting to shake up both the car and energy industries with their battery-producing Gigafactory - but two former employees hope to go even further in Sweden. Northvolt, which is helmed by former Tesla executives Peter Carlsson and Paolo Cerruti, plan to build the largest lithium-ion battery factory in Europe. Carlsson said, "We will produce a battery with significantly lower carbon footprint than the current supply chains."
